So I always got asked how I made my watermark... I usually use Photoshop's text tool, but mine is in Italian (and I'm too lazy to translate) and not everyone has PS.
This way, you can make a watermark with every program that lets you use layers.
Remember that protecting your artwork is important! Lazy thieves will avoid watermarked art and stupid thieves will post the art with the watermark on (and people will come find you to tell you about it).
Thanks for sharing! I've had a sheet of watermarked adopts stolen before--but the stupidest thing was, the thief credited me for the lineart (I drew the entire sheet, so I'm at a loss as to why they would do that) and gave a direct link to my profile in the description...
Needless to say, someone told me about the stolen adopts, and they were taken down shortly. ovo
Seriously, it's not that hard being an 'intelligent' thief. B| I have thought a few times to make a 'Thief Tutorial', because some mistakes have 'stupid' written all over them, but then I thought that I probably shouldn't make things easier for them.
That would be genius xD But then again, a thief smart enough to use a tutorial probably doesn't need a tutorial. You'd think they'd think things through a bit more :/
Yep, after all, many of the things they do can be avoided with a little brain. Like don't pick something that has watermarks, don't submit the stolen adoptables to the same groups of the original ones (and certainly don't submit them to dozens of groups), don't steal closed original species but stay in the dogs/cats/humans category, don't steal from very famous people or people whose style is very recognizable...
And you're welcome, enjoy watermarking.

Wow, I'd be an awesome thief.
